George Watson's College
In November the Junior and Primary School at George Watson's College in Edinburgh formed the words "Sick Kids" in front of the school with nearly 1000 pupils. This was part of their fund raising programme for the New Pyjamas Appeal to raise funds for the new Sick Children's Hospital. I was able to co-ordinate the aerial photograph with a scheduled aerial contract over the city and we were blessed with a lovely autumn day.
George Watson's has already raised £3,000 and the proceeds of the prints sold by White House Studios should raise a further £1,000.
M80 Motorway Upgrade
White House Studios has been contracted to HMC to offer both aerial and ground construction photography on the new M80 motorway link between Stepps and Haggs.
This major construction programme will run until 2011 and is one of the busiest link routes in Scotland.
New M8 Harthill Footbridge
The spectacular new footbridge for the M8 at Harthill was lifted into place by one of the biggest cranes in Europe during the night of 03.10.08 and as part of the progress contract for Raynesway Construction I was there to cover the occassion. You can see the images in the Image Gallery
Edinburgh Tramway Project
In July White House Studios was awarded the photographic coverage contract for the Edinburgh Tramway project. The contract will involve both ground and aerial coverage of the construction phases of the project which is due to be completed by 2011
