Tony Gorzkowski
Tony's background in photography goes back to 1975 when he studied for the Higher National Diploma at Napier College Edinburgh. From there he left to join the RAF as a navigator on fast jets and gained experience in low level aerial photography.
In 1978 he left the RAF to join
the Edinburgh firm of Reiach and Hall architects as their
resident photographer specializing in architectural
and interior photography. Whilst working there he gained
much experience in lighting techniques for large spaces and
working with architects on large civil projects.
1982 saw a departure from
employment to working for himself with the creation of the firm
of White House Studios located in small
premises close to the city centre. During the next six years,
Tony developed the business by expanding into areas such as Public
Relations, product, studio
and industrial photography with one
of the earliest commercial clients being Macdonald and Muir,
producers of Glenmorangie Whisky, (a company with which he still
very much works today!)
White House Studios is very much
about client relations and commitment to their needs, budgets
and deadlines and to this end many of Tony's clients have
been with him for a considerable number of years. The studio is
now shooting the majority of its work in digital format and
continues to invest in up to to date technology. Aerial
photography continues to be a major part of the business and
the company has its own aircraft based at Glenrothes.
Clients include: The Glenmorangie Company, The Velux Company, HBOS, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Balfour Beatty PLC, Morgan Est PLC, Ortak Jewellery, Optical Express, The Open University and The Scottish Executive. .
